I never particularly enjoyed this "bootie" phase that the fashion industry has been going through, but the moment I saw these my mind was permanently changed. They're classy, and beautiful, and unique all in one perfect pair of shoes. Lucky for my bank account and unlucky for my heart, these shoes are out of stock at the moment. But may I assure you, that the moment they come back in, I will be yanking out my credit card.

While consoling myself about not owning the previously mentioned booties, I stumbled across these gems from Blowfish on Zappos.com. I'm pretty big into hunter plaid at the moment, and these just screamed "I will look amazing with black leggings!" They're not very much less expensive, but they ARE available at the moment. Poor, poor bank account.

Today I was trolling a few fashion blogs, and came across these AMAZING boots from Chloé. The first fraction of a second upon setting my gaze upon them was something like "Wow, those look like bowling shoes with heels. Weird." My thought process then moved to, "OHMYGOD those are gorgeous. MUST HAVE." They are, however, very sadly and extraordinarily out of my price range, which means I will have to wait for someone to grow tired of them and post them on eBay. Sadness.

ALSO unbelievably out of my price range, these juicy red Balmain buckle boots had me drooling onto my keyboard. I mean, one look at these babies and I was dreaming of all the things I would do in them... which I will not say here. Anyway, until I become a millionaire they will be sadly out of my grasp.

As a lovely closing photo, this picture of Emily Mortimer was something I stumble upon in another fashion blog. She was doing a photo shoot involving several of Truman Capote's short stories, and I just fell in love with the dress she was wearing in one of them and had to share.

Have a nice day everyone!

"What I'm Harping On Today", or, "Hey, That's Pretty Cool"

Everybody and their mother has heard of Threadless.com's amazing printed t-shirts. I've purchased a few of them myself, and am now in the process of concocting my own design to send in! They're a small community of printers who print constantly changing designs that appeal to young, old, male, female and all in between. They take rolling submissions and are ALWAYS putting up new designs.

I actually just purchased the Baron VonFunburger one, and am currently wearing it. In fact, if I could get away with wearing it for at least three days in a row... I totally would.

Baron VonFunburger's Haunted Castle Cavalcade

NEXT topic.

My God, has music finally pulled itself out of the ditch. I could spend hours raving about the new music being put out by some of my favorite artists of all time, but I'll keep it limited for now.

Imogen Heap's album actually hasn't been released yet, but her single "First Train Home"? I nearly peed myself with joy when I heard it. The woman is a flippin' genius.

First Train Home

Okay, so I was never really a diehard Dave Matthews Band fan. A lot of people I know certainly are, and I did always like their music. I mean, it was one of those things where if it did happen to come on the radio or on the shuffle on my iPod, I wouldn't change the song. But this CD? I've only had it in my possession for about five hours and I've listened through the whole thing about ten times. Is that even possible? I don't know. But I've lost count. ABSOLUTELY amazing. I'm wondering if the rest of the music by them is this way... Favorite song? "Why I Am". Hands down. The monkey one in the beginning is pretty good too, though...

Why I Am

Okay, so my last artist was going to be Owl City... but everyone should already know about him and that would be redundant. This cool chick is Rosi Golan, my go-to-sleep, relax-on-my-bed, listen-to-while-reading-or-cooking artist. Her voice is just so smooth and soft, and her lyrics are works of art. My favorite tune has to be "Come Around".

Come Around

Well, now that I've overloaded everyone, I'll be signing off. I'm sure I'll be busy gathering material for my next post, so, until next time!

Alright, so...

I'm always so horrible with keeping journals and blogs and whathaveyou. I'm not a responsible or consistent person by any means, so I guess I'm doomed to failure. But that doesn't stop me from trying!

So, my blogs have always been about things I draw or write. But with this blog I'd like to include these things but go beyond that, and include things I see that are not mine. I have an avid fascination with pretty things, and I figure that maybe if I gather them all in one place for me to look back to, I might gain some sort of ground! Anyway, this is only an info post, but I'll follow this one with another that's more along the lines of what I'm looking to achieve with this thing!

So, here's to my maiden voyage.
